Les Schwab Cruisin’ Sherwood Classic & Custom Car Show Canceled;
Refocusing on 2021
Sherwood, OR, June 11, 2020 –The 2020 Les Schwab Tire Centers Cruisin’ Sherwood Classic & Custom Car Show, originally scheduled for June 13th and rescheduled to September 12th, has been canceled.
Oregon’s reopening plan calls for any large gathering through the month of September to be canceled or significantly modified. “Coming to this decision is a bitter pill to swallow. Knowing how much Cruisin’ Sherwood means to our community, our dedicated organizing committee has been working long and hard to come up with a significantly modified event that would allow us to move forward,” said Sherwood Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Corey Kearsley. “We explored several options and sought feedback from many partners and participants. Ultimately, we determined that there are too many unknowns to plan for that would make it difficult to do the show justice in a way that was safe for everyone. We felt that the best decision was to error on the side of caution by canceling the show and refocusing our efforts on 2021.”
The 2021 show is set for Saturday June 12th. The nationally syndicated television show My Classic Car TV, which was scheduled to shoot Cruisin’ Sherwood in 2020, has also rescheduled and will be in Sherwood on June 12th to help celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Cruisin’ Sherwood. In addition, many favorite Cruisin’ activities will continue, including the engine blow and burnout, kids zone, live music, vendors, and food court.
